    What is a Master's in Science Education?

    A master's degree in science education is a one to two year advanced degree that focuses on preparing students to create curriculum for science programs, teach advanced students or determine how to assess students through exams and projects.

    Many aspiring master's degree students don't realize that there are three different types of science education degrees to choose from at this level: the master of education in science, the master of arts in science education and the master of science in education.

    All three are very similar, and all can be available through accredited online colleges, but it is important to learn more about each before enrolling into any specific program.

    Like most master's degree programs, this degree requires applicants to already have a bachelor's degree completed.
